This project was part of a stunning new barndominium-style guest and pool house addition that also included functional shop space. While our scope focused specifically on the custom bunk beds and staircase system, our team approached these elements with the same precision and dedication as a full-scale build — blending clean design, durable materials, and refined craftsmanship.

The custom bunk beds were designed for both form and function. Each unit was constructed to maximize space and provide a cohesive look that complements the modern barn aesthetic of the home. Built-in drawers at the base offer convenient storage, while integrated steps provide easy access to the upper bunks. The smooth, painted finish gives the structure a polished, built-in appearance that seamlessly ties into the interior’s minimal yet inviting design.

The highlight of the space is the custom floating staircase — a bold architectural statement combining black metal framing and warm, stained wood treads. Every tread was handcrafted and finished to bring contrast and character against the sleek industrial frame. The cable railing system continues through the loft, creating visual continuity while maintaining an open, airy feel. A unique design detail hides the stair’s attachment points behind the drywall, allowing the structure to appear effortlessly suspended and sculptural.
